3.4 Cluster (Cluster)

Cluster of people.(Cluster) The An environment that integrates multiple servers into one system, manages integration and maximizes availability. That's it.

Before use

The DistinctionContent
I need permission. The cluster is created by Proxmox It's an administrator function that changes the cluster configuration, and it's done as an administrator permission account.
PreconditionsNetwork connections, time syncing, hostname/IP settings, Proxmox I'm going to verify the account permissions.
I'm working on the classified information.Proxmox Password is the password for screen entry, and the submission document does not contain the source code.
The range of impactCluster configuration affects the functions of the dashboard, HA, migration, shared storage.

3.4.1 Cluster situation

  • Check the cluster name and the configuration node list.
  • The ID of each node, the online status, the IP address.(LINK) We can see.

3.4.2 Node management

  • It creates clusters.

3.4.2.1 When a cluster is not formed

  • If there were no cluster structure, Cluster creation The section is shown.
  • When the cluster structure is not there, We need a cluster configuration. It's impossible to get along with a message.

3.4.2.2 Cluster creation

  • Cluster name: Enter the name of the cluster, and the hanging entry is restricted.
  • Proxmox Password: Enter the password for your Proxy account.
  • Cluster network: The default network of the current server is automatically assigned, and can be added.
ItemsThe input/selection criteria
Cluster nameYou type in English, numbers, hyphen, and so on.
Proxmox PasswordYou have the ability to create clusters. Proxmox Enter the account password.
Cluster networkIt selects the network that is available for inter-node communication, and if you use multiple links, it prepares the same number of networks for all participating nodes.
  • After the cluster is created, It's a new one. And then you change the cluster configuration.

The cluster joins the three-fourth.

  • The new node directly adds the functionality to the node that is not yet part of the cluster. VirtOn I'm registered in.
  • New node connection & address verification Enter the new node IP and port in the region. Bring the badge. Click on the button.
  • Check the TLS index of the new node to verify that the connected node is correct.
  • New node API Registering the token Enter the new token ID and token secret created from the new node in the area.
  • API Tokens require permission to execute a cluster, and they are automatically discarded after the cluster joins successfully.
  • Token IDs like the current cluster are not available. VirtOn API So you can disconnect, so you use a new node-specific token.
  • After you check the input, Registering new nodes Click on the button to join the cluster.
  • After the job is done, the top right hand corner The status is updated. Click the button to check the status of the cluster and the node list again.

How to solve problems

The symptoms.Check the itemHow to take action
Failure to create clustersThe cluster name, Proxmox Password, node networkCheck the input and check if there's any communication between the nodes.
Cluster Joyn failed to make the cut.The new node IP/port, the TLS sign, API Token authorizationI'll check the new node access information and the token permissions and then re-register.
Cluster formation after the failure of the visitNewly arrived, in a quorum, Proxmox API ConnectingIf it fails after the new call, check the cluster logs on the dashboard and the alert page.
